Contemporary art can be about everything, nothing, beauty, ugliness, culture, politics, fantasy, reality. Contemporary art can be personal, dark, humorous, theoretical, whimsical, challenging, questionable, useable, wearable, even edible. I find all of the above to be fascinating.
The term a priori, in short, is a philosophical phrase for knowledge independent of experience. While I am certainly not a philosopher, I do believe in learning as much as I can about art, being in-the-know, and passing along some of that to you.
